Dusk at Verde Farm

After a day of cloud and wind and rain
Sometimes the setting sun breaks out again,
And touching all the darksome woods with light,
Smiles on the fields until they laugh and sing,
Then like a ruby from the horizon’s ring,
Drops down into the night.
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I want to thank all the wonderful bloggers who joined Farm Friend Friday either by posting or checking out the blogs shared. It was a great time and we can’t wait till this Friday.

Lovely photos and I am so glad that your blog party went so well! Look at how many signed up! I may have to go out and get me some chickens! I really can't because we live in town and they are not allowed now.
Have a great day!

What a peaceful picture. I love the hens on the barn door. Another favorite is the swirling sky. Looks a little like Van Goghs Starry Night Picture.

Beautiful pictures Amy! I live on the flat land surrounded by hills so I hardly ever notice the sky at my house. It's nothing like living on a hill where you can see it all but I love my flat land!

Have a Great Day!

There is something so heart warming about a light on in the barn and animal houses when it is dark and cold outside. Your photos are stunning and the lighted shelters look invitingly cozy.

Holy Cow! You've got quite a farm following! Fun to discover your Verde Farm through the CDP "Barn Charm" meme! Too bad your farm is too far away for us to easily visit from our home in Minnesota!
