Farm Friend Friday and Farmgirl Friday

Hello farm friends, hoping you had a great week thus far. It has been consistently wet, cold and gloomy here in western West Virginia. Although spring is officially on the calendar, we are still awaiting her arrival. I think spring must be a “her” since it is filled with color, blooms and renewal. How about you, is spring a female or male season to you?

Fond memories of spring 2010 in all her glory

Well, we are kicking off a blog party by combining Farm Friend Friday with Farmgirl Friday for the first time this week. We all share the love of farm living and farmgirl heart, so marrying the two seems to be a natural progression. The combination will bring together more bloggers that share an interest in all things farm and country living. Tell your friends and invite them to the party.

I believe Spring has to be a girl, she just can't make up her mind what she wants to do! Cold & cloudy here too.

Amy, there is no sense of spring here in my neck of the woods. My fields are still snow covered and tonight a foot of the heavy wet stuff is due to fall. Oh, I stand corrected there has been one sign of spring, ticks! yes, even with all this snow I have been removing ticks from Winslow Homer!

Hi Amy!
Just got the party started over at Dandelion House! Looking forward to meeting new farm friendz!
I think spring is most definitely female. she's all things soft pretty and fragrant! I love your spring pix...We spent a nice weekend doing yard clean up and the last of raking leaves, and guess who's back for an most un welcome visit? Old MAN winter!!!
We have three inches of fresh fallen snow outside!!!
Ugh! My crocus are buried!

Dearest Amy, Spring is most certainly a girl. She's hot and cold depending on the day, but she really knows how to shine. I'm off to mingle at the party. Can I just say I love the picture of your garden.

Hi Amy,
What a great idea combining the two together! We've been so busy doing our bathroom renovation that I just haven't had time to visit any of the FFF Bloggers or even do a post for that matter. We were hoping to the renovating done today so I could post tomorrow but hubby still has a wee bit to do once he get's up around noon tomorrow. I don't think it's really a FFF thing to post so I'll probably just do a regular post. I will be SO glad to finally get life back to normal! I'll hop on over to visit your friend before I head off to bed...I've never heard of Farmgirl Friday so this should be interesting. I hope you have a wonderful Friday MM...

I agree with Sharon. Spring is a girl, a fickle one at that...she cant decide if she wants to stay or not. I sure hope she makes up her mind soon!
have a great weekend!
