Rise N' Shine

Good morning, farm friends. We thought it would be nice to share our dependable alarm clock with you.  That's right, our chickens do wake us up each and every day. As early as they rise, we wouldn't have it any other way. Hope you enjoy some of our beautiful birds. Check out our Bantam page while you're at it.

Today we are linking with Mary over at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday. Check out Mary's beautiful fall mosaic and all the other wonderful mosaics shared there.

What a beautiful mosaic!
We had to get rid of our rooster after our newly-arrived neighbour complained. Yes, we live in the country, but that doesn't stop town people from moving out here for the pleasures of the country and then finding them not to their liking. Our ducks wake us now, as the pond is outside the bedroom. I worry that the neighbour will soon complain about the early morning quacking!

Love those roosters! Wonderful collage work you did!

Pondside, I sympathize with you! Maybe you need to get a few donkeys to drive your new neighbors away with their braying! :)

That's a great looking group :-) Cock a doodle doo to you, too!

Amy- your collage is the best one I have ever seen with roosters! I may print that one off and put it in a little frame for my kitchen.
Of all of the things on the farm, I miss the chickens most :(.

Thank you always for you lovely and kind comments. I wish you could go with me tonight too.
It would be so fun to visit with you in person. :) Though I personally would like to come to your house and pet all of your wonderful animals.

Love the mosaic! I just love having chickens about. We lost all of ours (35) this spring to a fox ... Hope to design a better coop for next spring.
BTW, they are ewes, and they are Shetlands ... I have one more coming she is a blue silver color.
Have a colorful week.

Am not keen about roosters that crow at the full moon... they do say things get loony during a full moon.

Oh my goodness - how many roosters do you all have?! We have but one...handsome (and big) ol' Roopert...and he makes more noise that I ever thought possible from just one rooster. I simply can't imagine more than one at this point - my husband would KILL me. lol
That's a beautiful collage you made!

Awesome mosaic Amy, love the red effect!! I love waking up to our Sully the rooster. Right now there are too many coyotes on the prowl, and the chickens are under house arrest (it's for their own safety) You'll see what I mean after my next post!
Have a good night,
Lisa
